India’s Chief Selector MSK Prasad clarifies his terms with Virat Kohli and Dhoni. Prasad, who is probably India’s outgoing chief selector, answered his critics over the questions he was asked about. Prasad was criticized for dropping Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara during the tours of South Africa and England respectively to which he suggested that all they could do was to show faith in the Team management.
Prasad also defended the India’s number 4 position crisis during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. During the mega-event, India persisted with Vijay Shankar at 4 rather than a specialist batsman. Prasad said that no one talked about this issue before the semi-final and India did fairly well with their batting order.
Prasad also talked about his relations with MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and said, “During this tenure, I used to take advice from legendary cricketers which helped. My relationship with MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli is intact. People might write anything but when I speak to them, I know how much they respect me."
