India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav heaps praise on the current Indian pace attack. The Indian pace battery has been in the news recently because of the fact that how they have evolved as a bowling unit in the recent past. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Yadav himself have done a great job for India in last couple of year or so.
Talking about the healthy competition, Yadav said, “It feels nice when people talk about fast bowlers. People earlier talked about the spinners when we played at home”.
“When this crop of fast bowlers came together, all five of us decided that we are not here to rough up the balls for spinners. It was then we started taking wickets”. He added. Yadav is delighted that the Indian pace attack is getting the attention it deserves. He has played 45 Test matches for India in which he has taken 142 wickets at an average of 30.26.
