Pakistan’s former captain, Sarfraz Ahmed has gone back to the domestic structure to seek redemption and a comeback opportunity. The 32-year old went down in batting form before he was dropped from the National side. Since his exclusion from the side, Sarfraz has been working hard on his fitness and batting form.
Talking to Shahid Afridi in a recent interview, Sarfraz said that he is solely focusing on the domestic structure at the moment. “Former cricketers advised me to play domestic as it is good for me. I have been playing pressure cricket for a long time therefore this break will help me”, Sarfraz said.
“I am not keeping Pakistan cricket team in mind, my sole focus is on the domestic cricket”, he added. Pakistan’s former all-rounder Shahid Afridi also advised Sarfraz to take this as challenge and make a strong comeback in the National side. Sarfraz has scored 2 half-centuries and a century in the on-going Quaid-e-Azam trophy.
