Problematic times for the think-tank ahead of Pakistan vs Sri Lanka series

Pakistan’s misery-ridden tour of Australia concluded with a massive defeat in the 2nd Test at the Adelaide Oval. The Green team failed to win a single match on the tour. Questions are starting to be raised on the performance of Pakistan in the Test and T20I series. With Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Test series just around the corner, the team management has some important decisions to make.

The right team selection for the upcoming tour will be the utmost priority of Misbah-ul-Haq and co. Pakistan is in dire need of experience in their side for the Test series.

Fawad Alam, Bilal Asif, Mir Hamza, Rahat Ali, Junaid Khan are the potential candidates for making a comeback in the series against Sri Lanka.

Fawad Alam, who has scored tons of runs in the domestic, is the need of the hour for vulnerable Pakistani team. On the other hand, Rahat Ali and Mir Hamza can add the First-Class experience to this young Pakistani side. Bilal Asif can be a lethal spin option for Pakistan against Sri Lanka.

However, the decisions will be also made for the players who were part of the Australia series. Mohammad Musa, Naseem Shah might be propelled to go back to the domestic and play a few more First-Class games.

On the other hand, Haris Sohail and Imam-ul-Haq are the other two players who might have to face the consequences of their poor form during the series.
