Pakistan crashed to successive innings defeats in the Test series against Australia, causing much public backlash from supporters. The sorry manner in which Pakistan were completely outplayed by their opponents has caused fans to demand another change in the support staff given the failure of Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis.
Reacting to the fiery public sentiment, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan has asked the country’s cricket fans to be patient in their assessment of the team. Wasim complained about the heightened anger shown by fans whenever Pakistan loses and said they needed to tone down their criticism.
"We just need to be patient. I think what Pakistan is not good at, particularly the public is being patient. If we win 2 or 3 games, we are the best in the world, if we lose then they say sack everybody,” Wasim said.
