Babar Azam, the top-order batsman of Pakistan, is starting to raise many eyeballs as the prolific cricketer is now scoring big in all the three formats of the game.
While the right-hander displayed elite shows in the white-ball cricket, his Test performances weren’t up to the mark. Nevertheless, his red-ball numbers are on a rise, powered by consistent shows both at home and in away conditions.
Even in the recently concluded two-game Test series against Australia, the Lahore born gave a good account of his prowess by amassing 210 runs against a world-class pace attack.
This ameliorated his confidence greatly and he sits eager and confident to continue his glorious run in the Tests against Sri Lanka.
The 25-year old cricketer was elated to see Test cricket getting back home as he believes that playing the purest format of the game in front of the home crowd doubles the excitement. Pakistan’s second assignment in the highly celebrated ICC World Test Championship will consist of two-match Test series, starting from December 11 in Karachi.
