For the upcoming edition of the highly celebrated Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars have ameliorated their pace artillery by acquiring the services of local paceman Usman Shinwari. The left-armer, who previously served Karachi Kings, has 35 wickets in the 26 games of the 20-over competition, securing a bowling average of 21.65.
Not only this, Usman recorded a strong campaign in last year’s Big Bash League (BBL), which saw him claiming 8 wickets in 7 games, at an economy of just 6.14. Recently, the 25-year old was found sharing his thoughts on being snapped up the tournament’s worst-performing franchise.
The exuberant quick believes that he is aiming to become the best bowler of the forthcoming season of Pakistan’s premier domestic T20 competition, thus helping Lahore record a strong campaign in the 6-team event.
Usman also added that Lahore is lucky to have the all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez who contains a plethora of experience to help the team counter tough times. It remains to be seen how Qalandars fare in the PSL 2020.
