Presenting a picture of resilience, the middle-order batsman of Pakistan Fawad Alam possesses a curious case. Despite being an elite performer of the domestic circuit, the dexterous batsman continuously faces ignorance by the national selection committee.
However, the 34-year old was recently found grateful that his domestic performances get recognized as people discuss him a lot. Fawad admitted that not playing for the green team hurts him, but added that he has no plans to give up.
To his bliss, the Karachi born is likely to be picked for the upcoming two-game Test series against Sri Lanka. If this happens, he will have an ideal chance of recording a sturdy show, thus becoming a permanent member of the red-ball team.
“I use the absence from the national team to motivate myself and do better. If I don’t get selected this year, I won’t drop the level of my hard work. My domestic performances are getting recognized everywhere and I’m really grateful for it,” said Fawad Alam while sharing his motivation to do well.
