Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Moin Khan has recently shared his reservations against having the ex-Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq serving as the head coach of the PSL franchise Islamabad United because he is currently working for the national team.
The Karachi born believes that having such a scenario would only breed a conflict of interest and so Misbah himself should back out from coaching a PSL franchise.
If this doesn’t happen then he wants the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to play a role, making sure that things move in the right direction. The head coach of Quetta Gladiators is the first one to criticize this decision, but others could also join him in this demand.
Earlier, Mickey Arthur and Azhar Mahmood served both the national team as well as the Karachi Kings. To avoid any unfavorable circumstances, PCB decided to keep the national coaching staff away from the 20-over competition. However, things were modified for the 45-year old as the governing body of Pakistan cricket feels that it is incumbent to have Misbah gaining more coaching experience.
