Cricket Australia is planning to play two Day/Night Test matches with India in the following year. If the BCCI accepts the offer, then it will be the first-ever Test series to include more than one D/N Test match.
A Cricket Australia (CA) delegation, led by its chairman Earl Eddings, is set to meet the new BCCI administration on the sidelines of a limited-overs series in January with the question of day-night Tests fairly and squarely on the agenda.
The timings of MCG and SCG Test match are most likely to collide with Big Bash League (BBL) which means that Adelaide, Brisbane, or Perth will be the expected venues for the Pink-Ball Test matches. Recently, Tim Paine also took a jibe at Virat Kohli regarding the D/N Test matches.
After India dominated Bangladesh in their inaugural Pink-ball Test match, Virat stated clearly that his team is open to do anything and he also called for a practice match under lights.
Sourav Ganguly, the newly appointed BCCI president also said, "When we tour, we will deal as per the request of the [host] board". India will play Australia in the 4-match Test series in the following year. The last time these both countries met in Australia, India came out as the victorious side with a 3-1 series win.
