Veteran Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has lashed out at Abdul Razzaq for his recent distasteful remark on Jasprit Bumrah. Razzaq had called the world No. 1 ODI bowler a ‘baby bowler’ and said he could have easily dominated Bumrah had he played during when he was still an active cricketer.
Subsequently, Irfan has slammed Razzaq and urged fans to not pay too much attention to these ‘over the top’ statements, and instead laugh at the credulity of the individual.
Irfan tweeted a similar statement that was once made on his bowling by Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Javed Miandad in 2004.
Back then, Miandad had deemed Irfan as a harmless bowler and claimed pacers like him were found in every street of Pakistan. Incidentally, the left-arm paceman completed a historic hat-trick against Pakistan next year in Karachi though India went on to lose that fateful match.
