Sri Lankan cricket’s downfall isn’t a secret phenomenon to the cricketing world. Once a producer of the highly skilled cricketers, now the blue team is usually found struggling against all the cricket teams.
To counter this, Sri Lanka has brought in the services of Mickey Arthur (as head coach) and Grant Flower (as batting coach).
It is important to note that the duo previously served Pakistan’s team and helped them become a better team. Mickey Arthur, on joining the Sri Lankan team, wished to do the same as he plans to make the current Sri Lankan players world-beaters.
The 51-year old, who was attracted by the Sri Lankan talent, vowed to give his best to help the Islanders get proper match winners.
“The success is in seeing Kusal Mendis become one of the best batters and Lahiru Kumara becoming one of the best bowlers of the world.
If I can improve their skills and install a different level of confidence then that’s all I am focused on because it would ultimately lead us to the needed and consistent wins,” said Johannesburg born while addressing a presser as the coach of Sri Lanka.
