Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive Thabang Moroe has been suspended amidst allegations of misconduct. This development has added controversy to the crisis-laden CSA that was embroiled in several scandals in recent days.
The decision has come as a consequence of "reports received by the social and ethics committee and the audit and risk committee of the board related to the possible failure of controls in the organization". A further forensic audit will be carried out in the absence of Moroe.
Thabang Moroe has been suspended amidst allegations of misconduct.
His suspension comes days after mounting pressure on Moroe to quit from his post. Even Graeme Smith’s reluctance to become CSA’s director of cricket has been pinned down to the presence of Moroe in the administration. The likes of Haroon Lorgat and Jacques Faul have been deemed as the possible candidates to replace Moroe.
