Adding to the various T10 tournaments is the Qatar’s T10 League which is thrilling the fans with exciting contests. The 3rd game of the tournament saw a plethora of entertainment as Falcon Hunters gunned down Heat Stormers’ 103-run total to commence their journey on a winning note.
Stormers batted first and with contributions from all recorded an impressive show, scoring 103 runs in their 10 overs. In reply, Hunters fought bravely, but were lagging behind and the pattern remained same till the last ball. Coming into the last over, Hunters needed 12 of the final over with opening batsman Salman Butt and wicket-keeper batsman Mohammed Rizlan set on the crease.
Gayan Munaweera bowled well to keep things in check in the first 5 balls whilst dismissing Rizlan, which left Hunters needing 5 runs of the last over. The 35-year old, who isn’t even known for his power hitting, had to hit a six and he didn’t disappoint.
Getting the needed room outside the off-stump, the Lahore born made a sweet connection, which helped him to land the ball over the ropes. Doing so, Salman earned 2 valuable points for his side, whilst making the headlines of the cricketing world.
