However, the return of Test cricket to Pakistan has proved very lucky for the 34-year old batsman who got selected for the two-game Test series against Sri Lanka. This obviously elated the veteran as he used his Twitter handle to share his feelings. Fawad said that he is happy and excited to be a part of this memorable occasion as the purest format of the game is returning to Pakistan.
The Karachi born, who kept fighting by scoring a plethora of runs in the domestic cricket, added that he never gave up because his love and compassion for the game can never die.
Fawad promised to give his best shot in the games against Islanders and help Pakistan deposit few points in their account in the ICC World Test Championship. Moreover, this selection provided him an ideal chance of recording a sturdy show, thus becoming a permanent member of the red-ball team.
