With a surge in the day-night Test cricket, this mode of holding red-ball cricket is garnering attention and admiration from different cricketing spheres. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also jumped on the bandwagon by proposing a day-night Test match to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for their upcoming tour of Pakistan comprising of 2 Tests and 3 T20Is.
PCB wants to use the Karachi Test to host their first ever day-night Test match. It is important to note that Bangladesh recently played their first such game on their tour to India in November, which also was the first day-night Test match in sub-continent. If things go well, Bangladesh would play their second Test match under lights against the boys in green.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has been a part four such games. These are exciting times for Pakistan cricket as the purest format of the game is returning to the country after a decade along with the scheduling of a complete PSL edition in the country. Moreover, PCB is set to host Bangladesh and confident to hold a short T20I series against South Africa next year. However, the response of BCB in this regard is still awaited.
