Pakistan’s Test specialist Mohammad Abbas has signed with Nottinghamshire for next year’s County Championship. The right-arm paceman will be available for the club’s opening nine fixtures before taking part in Pakistan’s Test tour of England.
The 29-year-old was previously engaged with Leicestershire, for whom he appeared in 19 games over the last two County Championship seasons. Known for his astute ability to keep a nagging line and length just outside the off-stump, Abbas has enjoyed a lot of success in his short Test career thus far.
"The club is steeped in history and I'm looking forward to giving my all to get them back up into the top division of Championship cricket. I've really enjoyed my past couple of summers playing in England and I'm excited for the domestic season to start again in April,” Abbas said as he reacted to his signing.
