Young West Indian batsman Nicholas Pooran played a glitzy cameo in the 2nd T20I against India to level the series for the visitors. Pooran’s eye-catching knock caught the attention of the Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Ashwin has captained Nicholas Pooran in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where the left-handed batsman played for Kings XI Punjab.
Ashwin tweeted that Nicholas Pooran is a special talent and he seems to be a great future prospect for the West Indies cricket team. Pooran played a vital cameo of 38 runs off just 18 balls which included 2 sixes and 4 boundaries against India in the 2nd T20I.
