India set up a mammoth total of 240 runs in the 3rd T20I against the West Indies at Wankhede, Mumbai. The chase looked almost impossible but the West Indian captain Kieron Pollard kept the fans interested until he was dismissed.
It was raining sixes at Mumbai when the West Indian captain was on the field. Pollard scored a quick-fire 68 off just 39 balls. His knock included 5 fours and 6 maximums. Still, the target was too big to be chased down despite Pollard’s brutal-hitting show.
Wankhede has been a home ground for Kieron Pollard since long as he is part of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
In the 3rd T20I game, Rohit Sharma was the only player to have played more T20 games than Kieron Pollard at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The odds were in favor of the Caribbean batsman but the immensity of the Indian total left Windies a distance short of their maiden T20I series win in India.
