RP Singh recalls Test debut in Pakistan

Pakistan is finally witnessing the return of Test cricket on its shores after a decade-long wait as they clash in the ongoing game with Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi. The revival of Test cricket in Pakistan has been welcomed by all sections of the cricket fraternity including former Indian pacer RP Singh.

The left-arm fast bowler took to Twitter to communicate his thoughts on the historic occasion for Pakistan. He took a trip down memory lane and revisited his Test debut that took place in Faisalabad against Pakistan.

Fondly looking back at his maiden appearance in Test cricket, RP Singh claimed he was shocked when Pakistan was forced into sporting isolation in 2009.

The 34-year-old also admitted he was astonished to see that all of the Pakistan players in the playing XI against Sri Lanka were playing their first home Test.

The veteran campaigner’s kind message was well-received by fans on both sides of the border, who commended his gesture in line with the spirit of the game.
