Sri Lankan batsman Niroshan Dickwella smartly handled a press conference blunder from a Pakistani journalist following the conclusion of a rain-hit second day of the first Test in Rawalpindi. Dickwella was addressing the media on a day where only 18.2 overs of play were possible and he was the sole batsman to be dismissed for 33.
Despite Dickwella back in the pavilion, a journalist asked him whether he would be keen on getting to the three-figure mark, having apparently mistaken him for Dhananjaya de Silva who was not out at 72.
"You mean, me?" Dickwella replied, pointing at himself. "I'm not de Silva, I'm Dickwella. I got out. I'm already out. In the pavilion. Maybe second innings, yeah," he added to loud laughter from the audience. The 26-year-old later showed class by praising his hosts for the hospitality shown towards him.
