Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have climbed upwards in the updated T20I rankings for batsmen released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The duo was at the helm of India’s commandeering win over West Indies in the final game of the three-match T20I series.
They smashed quick-fire fifties to help the home side reach a towering total of 240/3 in their 20 overs, proving to be far too much for the tourists. As a consequence of their blistering heroics, the two batsmen have made it among the top 10 T20I batters. Kohli now occupies the 10th spot, having climbed from the 15th position while Rohit is placed on No. 9.
Kohli’s mammoth tally of 183 runs in the three games against West Indies showcases his unwavering consistency as he is now the only batsman to be ranked in the top 10 batters in all three forms of the game.
