England Cricket team has announced their ODI squad for the series against South Africa. 4 new-comers have made their way into the world champion side in the shape of Pat Brown, Saqib Mahmood, Matt Parkinson, and Tom Banton.
To everyone’s surprise, England has left out Jofra Archer and Liam Plunkett out of the ODI side. These two have been England’s most prolific bowlers in the white-ball cricket in the recent past.
Liam Plunkett, who enjoyed a great world cup campaign, is gutted about his exclusion from the ODI side. Plunkett expressed his anger in a Tweet which he posted on Twitter after England announced the 16-man squad for South Africa tour. Plunkett took 11 wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 out of which 3 wickets came in the all-important final.
