The star of the opening Test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Abid Ali expressed his happiness in an interview. He said that the positive mind-set helped him excel in the Rawalpindi Test.
“I always tried to go back to the domestic and score runs and then wait for the good times. I worked on my fitness as the part of the team. At the end of the day, it bore good fruits”, Abid Ali said. “I was very nervous in my nineties but Babar supported me at the other end and said take as much time as you want”, he added.
“I will look to continue my form in Karachi. I am hoping the crowd at Karachi will come and support us”, Abid concluded. Abid made history as he became the only batsman in the world to score a debut ton in ODIs and Test matches.
