It is no secret that the standard of bowling in the highly admired Pakistan Super League (PSL) is right from the top drawer. Be it the spinners or the pacers, it has never been an easy task to counter the bowlers of this 20-over competition. This is also evident from the fact that many top batters of T20 cricket acknowledged that they found life hard while portraying their class in the PSL.
Discussing the bowling of Pakistan’s darling T20 competition, it would be harsh not to name the leading wicket-takers of the tournament. The tournament is ruled by the Peshawar Zalmi’s pace duo of Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali who have 65 and 51 wickets respectively to their names.
Quetta Gladiators’ Mohammad Nawaz sit at the third spot with 43 wickets, while Islamabad United’s Mohammad Sami and Faheem Ashraf sealed the fourth and fifth spots by managing 42 and 39 scalps respectively. Apart from Sami, who surprisingly went unpicked in the drafts for the PSL 2020, other players will return to the next season of the 6-team competition to test the batters. It would be interesting to see who comes out on top as the complete event is scheduled to be played in Pakistan.
