After the rain-curtailed red-ball game in Rawalpindi against Sri Lanka, which marked the return of Test cricket to Pakistan after a decade, the focus now shifts to Karachi. The two teams have already reached the city of lights where they will engage in a battle to decide the winner of the two-game Test series.
Ahead of the anticipated contest, players from both the teams interacted with media in an open media session to share their thoughts about the forthcoming challenge. Pakistan’s teenage pacer Shaheen Afridi, like many others, was pleased to see the purest format of the game returning to swell the charm of the stadiums of the country.
However, the 19-year old quick added that his team is completely focused on the game in Karachi, as they want to win the series and earn valuable points in the ICC World Test Championship. In the absence of veteran pacers Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz, Shaheen will have his shoulders burdened with both expectations and added responsibility.
