Shoaib Malik may be away from the international arena but he continues to excel in franchise-based competitions. Following his consistent heroics in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Malik has now turned up the heat with a dazzling knock in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) fixture between Rajshahi Royals and Khulna Tigers.
The veteran all-rounder slammed 87 off 50 deliveries including four maximums and eight boundaries to lift the Royals’ total to an imposing 189/4. Malik was eventually dismissed by his compatriot Mohammad Amir towards the end of the innings after showcasing brilliant pyrotechnics with the bat.
While Malik’s immaculate batting effort got his team to a strong position, Royals’ bowlers squandered the opportunity and failed to defend the steep target. Nevertheless, Malik’s red-hot form ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will certainly excite Peshawar Zalmi fans.
