Ever since getting handed a debut, Pakistan’s top-order batsman Babar Azam has refused to look back. While Test cricket was emerging as his weakest link, the run machine fixed his red-ball issues to become only the second player after Virat Kohli to have a single-digit ranking in all the three formats of the International cricket.
With this, it is only natural to see the Pakistani batting sensation getting compared with the Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli. Seeing all this, former Pakistan captain and one of the legends of the game, Javed Miandad recently became a part of this debate by advising Babar to just focus on his game. The 62-year old further said that it is important for Babar to keep improving and scoring heaps of runs, without paying a heed to all the comparisons going around.
Sharing his views, Javed Miandad said, “I never got worried about comparisons as I focused to perform for my team. I would also suggest Babar to make his bat talk. He shouldn’t worry about the comparisons and keep his focus on working hard and scoring big.”
