After the retirement of Mohammad Amir and break of Wahab Riaz from Test cricket, Pakistan suffered as they had to make do with an orphan pace battery. This frustrated not just the fans, but also the head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis as the former paceman recently shared his views on the importance of Test cricket.
Urging the young breed of cricketers to prioritize the purest format of the game, Waqar said that it is important for the budding cricketers to understand the importance of Test cricket. He added that it is no secret that Test cricket tests a cricketer like no other format, but the satisfaction which is received after doing well is unmatched.
