Naseem Shah’s incredible bowling performance seals Pakistan a series win at Karachi. The results of the Test series homecoming could not have gotten better as the home side plundered Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test match. It was the 16-year old who set up the victory for Pakistan with his pace and accuracy.
Naseem picked up his maiden fifer (figures of 5-31). The right-arm fast bowler became the youngest player to pick a fifer in the history of Test cricket. Naseem’s pace impressed the critics as they have started to rate him as a prospect for the future.
Pakistan’s fast bowling department was struggling with its form but with the performances of Mohammad Abbas, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and now Naseem Shah, the Green team has started to get into its groove. With the victory of 263 runs over Sri Lanka, Pakistan now sits on the 3rd position at the points table of ICC Test Championship.
