Australia’s batsman Chris Lynn is one of the finest batters of the T20 cricket. Playing franchise-based 20-over leagues across the globe, the belligerent striker has shown his prowess time and again to earn the title of ‘T20 specialist’ and his recent power-show in Sydney reaffirmed the notion.
In an important game of the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) against Sydney Stars, the skipper of Brisbane Heat made amends for his failures in the past two contests. His team didn’t get a good start as Lynn had to come out only in the second over of the innings. However, he reminded everyone about his quality.
Consuming only 35 balls, the 29-year old cricketer smashed 94 runs to lead a strong batting performance. Doing so, Lynn smashed 4 fours and 11 sixes to punch Sydney right, left and center. While trying to up the ante, the explosive batsman fell 6 runs short of nailing the record of the fastest century in the history of Australia’s celebrated T20 competition. Nevertheless, Lynn’s lion-hearted effort allowed Brisbane to record a much needed victory to get back in the tournament.
