Like past few years, 2019 has been a great year for the Indian cricket where the blue team delivered strong performances across the three formats of the game. Importantly, India ended the year with a stunning victory against West Indies in Cuttack – an event which also gave them the ODI series 2-1.
Reviewing the recently concluded ODI series along with the performance of the whole year, Indian skipper Virat Kohli shared satisfaction. The Indian run machine is of the view that the team came under tremendous pressure moments on various occasions, but the players were always there to rescue the unit.
However, he admitted that the defeat in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament against New Zealand disappointed him. Nevertheless, the 31-year old said that apart from the 30 minutes where Indian batting unit collapsed in Manchester, they fought hard to get close to the victory. In addition to this, Kohli revealed his plans of chasing the ICC trophy in the forthcoming mega-event, scheduled to be played in Australia.
