Babar Azam has emerged as Pakistan’s most consistent performer across formats after conquering the Test arena with a slew of centuries. The elegant shot-maker recently stormed into the top 10 of the ICC Test rankings for batsmen following his splendid showings with the bat against Australia and Sri Lanka.
Aiming to continue his good form in the conventional five-day format, the 25-year-old has stated his ambitions to spend a lot of time at the crease and enlarge his appetite to heavily score runs. Speaking ahead of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final, Babar claimed to prioritize four-day cricket to polish his skills for Test cricket.
"I am trying to play more and more four-day cricket and by playing long innings in four-day matches I believe it will also allow me to understand how to build my innings in Test matches,” Babar said.
