Virat Kohli aims improvement in India’s batting first blueprint in T20Is

In the last few years, Indian team has emerged to be one of the strongest units of the cricketing world. Particularly, the white-ball cricket has ameliorated to a great extent. While the bowling has also recorded a drastic improvement, but defending the totals is still not known as India’s strongest suit.

This area was recently reviewed by Indian skipper Virat Kohli who wants India to improve in terms of games when they are batting first. The prolific run-getter believes that batters need to express themselves a bit more while having a go with the willow first. Kohli added that there is a room of improvement in this regard and the unit would work on it ahead of the all-important T20 World Cup in Australia.

While Kohli and company prefers chasing, but in many games he decided to bat first to test his side against the other outcome. With Sri Lanka lined up to play 3 T20Is against India from January 5, the series would give Kohli a good chance to opt for batting first modus operandi of winning the games.
