Glenn McGrath praises current Aussie attack

Australia’s former pace bowler Glenn McGrath heaps praise on the Australia’s current bowling attack and said that it can be compared to any era. McGrath, who himself was part of Australia’s elite class bowling attack including the likes of Jason Gillespie, Brett Lee, and Shane Warne, rated the current bowling line-up second to none.

Mitchell Starc was not part of the Test XI when the Test summer began but it did not take him long to prove his Test credentials. Pat Cummins is also rejoicing an exhilarating Test form while Josh Hazlewood has been doing a great job as well. Nathan Lyon and James Pattinson have also been playing their roles in Australia’s Test XI.

"They are right up there, without a doubt, their stats prove that," McGrath said on the eve of the annual Pink Test at the SCG which is used to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation. "They are forming an attack that can compete with any era of Australian cricket. To have Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood along with Pat Cummins and James Pattinson, four quality bowlers, throw in Nathan Lyon as well, it's as good a bowling attack as we've had”, he added.
