Fast rising speedster Haris Rauf has taken the cricket world by storm with his bowling heroics in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL). Yet to register his international debut, Rauf has continued to wreak havoc in the premier Australian T20 competition as he now boasts 10 wickets across three games.
Fascinated with Rauf’s dream run in the tournament, Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis believes the youngster possesses the abilities to make an entry into international cricket soon. Waqar said Rauf’s consistently blazing spells of bowling have been promising and he has already chatted with head coach Misbah-ul-Haq to fast-track the Lahore Qalandars pacer into the national squad.
"Haris Rauf has impressed me. He has pace, is strong, aggressive & bowls a good slower-ball. I’ve spoken to Misbah about him and we're looking to bring him into our pack of pace bowlers, working with him and hopefully can push him into the Pakistan team soon,” Waqar said.
