The release of the schedule for the 2020 edition of the highly admired Pakistan Super League (PSL) has blew a different level of excitement in the country. However, there are few people who aren’t happy with the scheduled games.
One of the critics includes the name of the former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali who feels that the tournament authorities have made a biased and unfair schedule. The reason for his disapproval is that Karachi, despite being the biggest city of the country, has received only 5 home games out of their 8 contests.
Basit, while sharing his views talking to a private news channel, said that it is harsh for both the franchise Karachi Kings as well as the residents of the city of lights. He added that an increase in the number of games of home team would have seen a surge in the exhilaration level of the city. Lambasting the management of PSL, the 49-year old called for an independent committee which should make PSL schedule as he said that PSL is a top league and needs better administration.
