New Zealand ended their dismal campaign in Australia as the visitors lost 3-0 to the home side in the Test series. Australia’s dominance was on display throughout the series as the home side clinched victory by heavy margins in each game.
However, New Zealand does have some positives to take from this series including the remarkable performance of their left-arm seam bowler Neil Wagner. Wagner showed plenty of skills during the Test series as he picked up 17 wickets at an average of 22.76 in the Test series.
New Zealand was jolted by the injury of Trent Boult which left their team in tatters. But Wagner took responsibility on his shoulders and gave his best to help his team. Wagner has represented New Zealand in 47 Test matches in which he has taken 204 wickets at an average of 26.63.
