Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne has already conquered the Test arena following exceptional performances ever since he broke into the national side. The right-handed batsman, who initially got into the team at the back of Steve Smith’s untimely concussion injury, finished the year as the leading run-getter in Tests of the year 2019.
The 25-year-old is now setting his sights on the upcoming ODI series in India where he has been named a part of the Australia squad. Talking about his side’s prospects of triumphing in the tough conditions of India, Labuschagne claimed that excelling in the subcontinent would certainly be hard but he looked forward to making his white-ball debut in India.
“Whenever you play India, it’s a tough series because they’re a very tough opposition. They’ve got great batters and bowlers, so it’s going to be a challenge. But as a player you always want to test yourself against the best opposition in the toughest conditions, and there’s nothing tougher than India in India,” Labuschagne said.
