Chris Green receives a ban for illegal bowling action

Off-spinner Chris Green receives a 3-month ban from bowling after he was reported for a suspect action in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL). Green was reported after the game between Sydney Thunders and Melbourne Stars. Playing for the Thunders, Green had the 2nd best economy among the Sydney Thunders’ bowlers in the ongoing BBL season.

Green won’t be able to bowl in the Cricket Australia-run competitions until the period of 90 days is completed. After which, he will be allowed to undergo bowling action test, however; he will be eligible to play as a batsman if Sydney Thunders or Cricket New South Wales desire.

Green has picked up 3 wickets in the BBL season 2020 so far. Chris has represented Pakistan Super League based franchises Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans. The all-rounder is also picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming Indian Premier League season.
