After thumping Pakistan in the three-game T20I series in Lahore, Sri Lanka seems to have lost their mojo as they first got decimated in Australia and now got owned by India. While the first of the three-game T20I series got washed out, the contest at Indore proved to be a one-sided affair.
India decided to bowl first after winning the toss – a decision which saw them restricting the tourists to a paltry total of 142 runs. This proved to be a walk in the park for a batting powerhouse like India as they aced the chase inside 18 overs to take the all-important lead in the series.
Sri Lankan captain Lasith Malinga was utterly disappointed to see his side going down like a house of cards in Pune. For this reason, the paceman wants his side to record a strong show in Indore T20I to level the series. He particularly highlighted the role of youngsters in this regard as the Islanders are banking on their prowess to defeat the men in blue. It would be interesting to see how Sri Lanka responds to this situation.
