In the ongoing edition of the highly admired Big Bash League (BBL), the contest between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers provided a plethora of entertainment to the fans. After a number of seesaw moments in a low-scoring thriller, it was Sydney who had the last laugh as the pink team grabbed two crucial points to register themselves as a strong contender for the next stage of the competition.
Despite Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan picking a four-wicket haul, encompassing a hat-trick, the brilliance of English all-rounder Tom Curran allowed Sydney Sixers to defeat Adelaide Stickers. During Stickers batting, Curran bowled with a lot of method and skills to claim 4 important wickets, including key wickets of Jake Weatherald and Rashid Khan.
The party didn’t end there for the talismanic cricketer as he scored 21 crucial runs using 20 balls. While Jack Hazlewood ended the game in style by striking three consecutive fours, it cannot undermine the overall grand show by Tom Curran. For a splendid performance, Curran was rewarded with the player of the match award.
