Bangladesh’s forthcoming tour to Pakistan is in jeopardy as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed that some of their players are reluctant to participate in this cricketing action. The list also includes the likes of wicket keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim who served as the skipper of national side in the past.
According to the sources, the 32-year old has informed the BCB about his unavailability for both the T20I and Test series, if it is played in Pakistan. This is a displeasing news for the boys in green as Mushfiqur Rahim is one of the key cricketers of Bangladesh and his absence could dent the value and competitiveness of Bangladesh.
On the other hand, BCB is adamant to first play T20I series in Pakistan and take a decision afterwards. However, head coach of Bangladesh Russell Domingo has shown his willingness to play in Pakistan if the board decides to go ahead with the tour. It remains to be seen how this matter settles as BCB and PCB are having negotiations these days.
