Caribbean legend Chris Gayle has termed Pakistan as one of the safest places in the world admitting that the country provides presidential-level security to its cricketing guests. Gayle’s comments come amidst the ambiguity-riddled Bangladesh tour of Pakistan, with the fate of the series still undecided given Bangladesh’s reluctance.
"Pakistan is one of the safest places right now in the world. They say you will get presidential security so you are in good hands," - Gayle.
The 40-year-old superstar’s remarks lend credibility to Pakistan as a venue for international cricket. The South Asian nation recently hosted Test cricket in the country for the first time in 10 years and is gradually resuming to normalcy in terms of international cricket on its shores.
