Gambhir wants Lokesh Rahul to open alongside Rohit Sharma in T20 World Cup

Shikhar Dhawan, the opening batsman of India, remains to be one of the finest batters of India. While he got dropped from the Test side, he continued his progress in ODI cricket. Nevertheless, same cannot be said about his T20I batting as he usually finds himself in a pool of criticism because of slow batting.

As a reason, Lokesh Rahul was drafted into the side and he is currently scoring at 43.81 in T20I, managing a strike-rate of 146.22. For this reason, many cricket pundits want India to persist with Rahul and this club recently got swelled by the inclusion of the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir.

The 38-year old said that Rahul contains a plethora of talent with which he can excel in any form of game. He added that the explosive batsman, for his consistent and strong shows, should be included in the team for the T20 World Cup as a preferred opener. Moreover, the cricketer turned politician detects strength among Indian ranks and he wants the men in blue to use it to win the mega-event in Australia.
