India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah continues to transcend boundaries with his performances. The right-arm fast bowler achieved a milestone during the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka at Pune.
Bumrah became the highest wicket taker for India in the T20I when he dismissed Sri Lanka’s opening batsman Danushka Gunathilaka. The 26-year old was tied with Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Ashwin with 52 wickets each. The close battle will continue between Bumrah and Chahal while Ashwin is currently out of India’s T20I plans.
Bumrah, with his 53 wickets, went past Mustafizur Rahman, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, and Graeme Swann on the list of highest wicket taker in the T20I format, which is ruled by Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga with 106 wickets in his pocket.
