Getting hired as a replacement by Lahore Qalandars in the replacement draft of the last edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), South African all-rounder David Wiese has refused to look back. He, being one of the most experienced players of the shortest format of the game, recorded his prowess which saw him getting retained by the Qalandars for PSL 2020.
Playing 7 contests, Wiese scored 136 runs at 45.33 and claimed 5 wickets at 40.80 to help add balance to Lahore unit. This way, he improved his reputation as he delivered some efficient performances both with willow and the leather.
Now, he sits exhilarated to get back to PSL and help Lahore record a strong show in PSL 2020. The 34-year old cricketer has over 2200 runs in T20 cricket which came at a formidable strike-rate of 144.01. Not only that, the adroit cricketer is a very handy bowler which is evident from his 168 T20 wickets which came at a bowling average of 27.01. Lahore would rely on the prowess of the former Karachi Kings player to provide much needed balance to their side.
The action-packed episode of the fifth season of the PSL will return on February 20 where defending champions Quetta Gladiators will battle against the prowess of a quality side like Islamabad United in Karachi.
