In a recent interview, the 19-year old cricketer revealed that his aim is to adopt Shoaib Akhtar’s pace and Mohammad Amir’s swing to scale new heights of success. Akif recently impressed in the last edition of the National T20 Cup. Moreover, he would be seen portraying his prowess for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020.
“I really want to become the fastest pacer like Shoaib Akhtar. I have clocked 145kph, but I don’t want to stop here. My favorite bowler is Mohammad Amir and I also copy his bowling action. I also try to focus on swing like him to become a successful bowler,” Akif Javed said while revealing his bowling inspirations.
