Former South Africa speedster Makhaya Ntini has said he is eagerly awaiting to see Pakistan Under-19 skipper Rohail Nazir in the upcoming ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa. The marquee event will commence on January 17 with Pakistan grouped alongside Bangladesh, Scotland and Zimbabwe.
The 42-year-old Proteas paceman included Rohail’s name in the list of exciting players to look out for in the tournament. Ntini heaped praise on the wicketkeeper-batsman’s form in domestic and List A cricket and stated he is excited to see his quality strokeplay.
"I’m looking forward to seeing how Rohail Nazir performs with the bat. As captain of his country, there'll be some pressure on his shoulders but at 18, he’s already shown himself to be a very strong player and a leader too, both in the field and with the bat,” - Ntini said.
