Australia’s current limited-overs captain Aaron Finch has indicated his goal of playing the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Finch, who has played 119 ODI matches for Australia, said that his goal will be to play the 2023 World Cup for his country providing his fitness permits it.
“I would love to. At 33 now, I think my game is in as good as a place as it is ever been. That is (playing 2023 World Cup) a definite goal of mine. That will come down to fitness and form”- Finch quoted.
Finch also talked about playing the longest format of the game for Australia. The right-handed batsman said that he has not lost hope of playing the Test matches again. But if the selectors will want him to give up on the longest format of the game, he might consider their decision.
